I am becoming more ashamed of this fandom every day. I mean for the most part the stuff I see is tame, because I don’t go looking for stuff and I don’t track tags. But then I hear about stuff like that and it makes me sad and a bit miffed.

But being shot down by your peers is something that sucks a lot, especially when it’s about something you work really hard on and devote your life to.
Yeah, I 100% agree with that… appreciation from the people who’ll always love you no matter what is great, but losing out on that peer recognition is a whole nother thing - it’s like your mum saying you passed the maths final in her eyes or something. But no there was some real nastiness on my dash - people were trash talking the winner because they’d never heard of him, planning to write petitions to the bafta committee or whoever… it was just so fucking stupid omg i hate people.
